Since the day one of its inception, Durrani Associates have had one motto, to reduce the waste of perishable items of Pakistani Origin as much as possible, to increase the as fresh shelf life of each and every difficult to store item to the maximum possible time limits, and to find out the ways and means to deliver high perishable items across the oceans farm fresh.
In order to do so we had to evolve field pathology different and specific to each items, even each specie of the same family.
With a define sense of pride we are pleased to say that we did achieved breakthroughs, some on Pakistan level, some at global level. The details are given here under:
Citrus:
We introduce the citrus waxing and pre-chilling technology to Pakistani exporters in year 1988 and taught the whole Pakistani citrus exporters community the correct combinations/ strengths and types of fungicides, detergents and other paraphernalia to suit the Kinno, oranges, fruiters and other citrus family of this area.
Mangoes:
Our greatest achievement
Countries are doing research in increasing shelf life of Mangoes but are not successful. The problem which is arriving is that after hot water treatment the shelf life of mango decreases Our greatest achievement which is being recognized and acknowledged on global level has been enhancing the shelf life of Mango to as much that we can ship Container loads by sea freight to destinations as far away as Europe and keep Mango fresh as fresh for 35 days fulfilling all the USDA requirement.
WE ARE THE ONLY EXPORTERS IN THE WORLD WHO HAVE THE RIGHT PATHOLOGY TO CONTROL THE RIPENING PROCESS OF MANGO 100% NATURALLY FOR 35 DAYS.
Mango is the most intricate, and sensitive of all the perishable fruits, and it has been regarded an impossible feat to keep it farm fresh for any thing longer then a week. Since 1999, we are shipping mango to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, UK Iran and Middle East by sea freight and are getting it cleared through port Health Authorities at these ports as fit for human consumption on regular basis.
Mango, Banana, Persimmons, Apple & Grape fruit Processing Plant (USDA Standards)
· Durrani Associates have one of the highest capacities processing HOT WATER TREATMENT unit, which is designed according to USDA standard, which can process 10-12 TON in an hour with constant temperature. WHICH IS APPROVED BY PAKISTAN QUARANTINE DEPARTMENT, IRANIAN QUARANTINE DEPARTMENT AND CHINA QUARANTINE DEPARTMENT.
Cold Storage:
· Durrani associates own Cold storages as fresh 2000-ton capacity with well equipped temperature sensors (probe).
Hot Forced Air Room According To USDA Standards:
· We are proud to state that the major breakthrough in Asia is given by Durrani Associates to build HOT FORCED AIR ROOM which is designed according to USDA standard for KINNOW and MANGOES With Data Logger facility in it. Which make the fruit dieses free. Which is approved by Pakistan Quarantine Department and Plant Protection.
Potato:
· Durrani Associates also have Technology for controlling Potato bricks (sweetness) in Cold Storage and control sprouting & field pathology. It will boost the Chips Industry, as sweetness of Potato would be decreased making it eligible to be used in making Chips. We own Special cold storages for this purpose.
Tomato:
The seasonal imbalance in supply and demand was also too much in case of Tomato as well. In year 1995, we achieved the goal of keeping tomato as farm fresh for as long as 8 weeks. We have the plan to boost the yield of Tomato by teaching proper Agriculture technology, indicating correct inputs and storing in cooling house as fresh as for 8 Weeks to fulfill Country’s need.
Frozen Vegetables:
We have plans and ideas for Frozen Vegetable processing and fresh Vegetables technology, which is zero at this moment in Pakistan. We have plan how to work it on!
Plans:
The major plans are to teach Farmer the true essence of field pathology for Mangoes & Kinno. Yield is not properly taken care of due to which lot of crop is yearly wasted. Irrigation way and correct input to be taught to the farmer for the best health of the fruits & Vegetables.
Durrani Associates is proud to introduce LARGEST HOT WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN ASIA for the treatment of Mango with the capacity of Plant 10000-12000 Kg per hour (10-12 tons) per hour fulfilling the USDA requirements. This treatment done by others before used to decrease the shelf life of Mango, altering its as fresh life with increasing health issues.
